Hi Jim, To turn off the snap, right-click in the gray space at the side of your slide area and choose Grid And Guides. I sometimes attempt to record my songs using my keyboard, but it is always too inaccurate, making it sound like crap when I try adding other instruments. I currently use FL studio to compose my music, but the time gap between coming up with the tune in my mind to writing it down on the screen is far too large - and thus my idea comes out in a hideous form on screen. With this enabled, notes and clips won’t snap to anything except the start and end points of pre-existing notes. At the bottom of the Snap to grid menu in both the piano roll and the Playlist is the Snap To Events option. Once that’s done, FL Studio will make the events smooth and rounded, rather than jerky and broken.
